Nuclear Renaissance alive and well

Today, we find that the NRC has voted to allow construction of two new Westinghouse AP1000 reactor plants at the V.C. Summer site in South Carolina. There are now two new nuclear energy construction projects underway (Summer, and Vogtle in Georgia) with a total of four ~1000 MWe plants.

NuStart Energy has written a press release, and it has been sent to some sources but isn't on NuStart's site yet; click here to check NuStart Energy's press page.

There will be a blizzard in hell before the Media and Green groups flash this finding -- and note that it doesn't even go back to the times of the first reactors during which many many were killed by fossil fuel accidents, forget regular emission health consequences.
